What Documents Are Require for Phone Number Porting?

• A Letter of Authorization (LOA): A LOA grants you the authority to your new carrier to port your phone number legally.
• Copy of Bill (COB): You must bring a copy of your recent phone bill (not older than 30 days).
• Customer Service Record (CSR): A CSR consist of your account number and a 4-digit PIN from your current carrier.
  

The porting process

Porting your US telephone number is a seven step process that can take up to two (2) weeks depending on the type of number you are porting and the country the number is located in. The process includes coordination between our upstream provider and your service provider to transfer the number to Twilio.

• Signup for LimePhone Plan . You will need a paid subscription with LimePhone before starting the porting process.
• Submit a porting request – Fill out of porting request form and complete the setup fee for porting.
• Submit the documents required – Once submitted we will get straight on with the porting application and process this with the losing provider.
• Fix any porting errors – If there are any errors or additional docs required, you are automatically contacted by email 24 to 48 business hours from the time of the error update.
• Waiting for porting to complete – it takes upto four business days for the process to complete. Don’t worry, your phone service will remain active during this time and we’ll do all liaising with your current provider during this time.
• Check if your number has been ported successfully, Once the number porting process is complete you will be able to see your telephone number on your account on our online portal.
